With 43 carefully selected items, this bundle will help you navigate from a month to 3 months of unexpected adventures, from power outages to surprise extended camping trips. ## When you would use "Prepare for the worst, hope for the best" for a family of four Imagine the power grid is down longer than expected. Instead of cold leftovers, you're whipping up gourmet meals on your portable propane stove and oven. Or perhaps a sudden snowstorm traps you indoors. This kit keeps you warm, fed, and entertained - family game night anyone? Don't forget, this kit will also work for extended camping trips, because roughing it doesn't have to mean suffering. ## How we selected the items We thought through the common oversights in emergency preparedness, focusing on comfort and practicality. Most people remember food and water but forget about sanitation or entertainment. We included compostable wipes and even games to keep things civilized. We chose GMRS radios for local communication, recognizing cell towers might be down. By assembling this particular combination of items, we aim to provide a comprehensive solution that addresses both basic survival needs and the often-overlooked aspects of maintaining a semblance of normalcy during challenging times. ## Item Highlights * **Emergency Weather Radio:** Stay informed with weather alerts and news, powered by solar, hand crank, or batteries. * **Portable Toilet:** Because nobody wants to deal with *that* mess unprepared. * **Water Filtration System:** Clean drinking water is essential, so we did not skimp on the filtration. * **Propane Stove and Oven:** Hot meals are a morale booster, and cold beans get old fast! * **First Aid Kit:** A comprehensive kit to handle everything from minor scrapes to more serious injuries. **Estimated total:** Starts at $3,914. Most emergency kits focus only on survival basics like food and water. This kit includes often-overlooked essentials like sanitation (portable toilet), entertainment (games), communication (GMRS radios), and comfort items (propane stove for hot meals) to help your family maintain normalcy and mental health during extended crises. ### What scenarios is this kit designed for? The kit includes a water filtration system, treatment tablets, and purification packets to make water safe to drink. You'll need to source water from available supplies during an emergency, and this kit gives you the tools to clean it. ### Can I use this kit for camping or outdoor trips? Yes.
